QtChess is the world's least powerful friend-to-friend chess program. Written in C++, it sports a 2-D OpenGL/Qt user interface and utilizes TCP/IP for communications. The application may also be used as a plugin for InterFace.
Playing online chess has never been this easy. Please visit our list of chess links that reference famous chess clubs from around the world.
With QtChess, you can also build your own virtual chess club in the comfort of your own home! Upon launching a personal chat session and a chess window via the Restroshare Messenger, you and a friend will be quickly immersed in a friendly game of chess.
QtChess is the first online game for the InterFace. InterFace is a serverless messenger and feature-rich chat application. Peers are automatically connected to one another, thus enabling them to chat as well as play a variety of games. If two users wish to communicate via InterFace, they must first exchange PGP-Certificate-Keys and accept each other's requests. Once connected, they will need to set an exception to their appropriate firewalls. Connections are preserved regardless of IP Addresses.
Please visit the change log for current release information.
If you are interested in finding a partner to test the online chat with, please visit the help forum where you can can place a request for e-mail addresses. Once e-mail addresses have been shared, the two parties must exchange Messenger-Keys.
Please contact the development team if you have any questions regarding this project. You may also submit a trouble ticket if you so desire.
