Queen-Talk Chess (QtChess) is the world's least powerful friend-to-friend chess program. Written in C++, it sports a 2-D OpenGL/Qt user interface and utilizes TCP/IP for communications. The application may also be used as a plugin for the Retroshare Instant Messenger. Simply install the Messenger, perform some minor firewall configuration, and you'll be on your way to chatting with a friend while enjoying a relaxing game of chess.

With Queen-Talk, you can also build your own virtual chess club in the comfort of your own home! Upon launching a personal chat session and a chess window via the Restroshare Messenger, you and a friend will be quickly immersed in a friendly game of chess.
Queen-Talk is the first online game for the Retroshare Instant Messenger. Retroshare is a serverless messenger and feature-rich chat application. Peers are automatically connected to one another, thus enabling them to chat as well as play a variety of games. If two users wish to communicate via Retroshare, they must first exchange PGP-Certificate-Keys and accept each other's requests. Once connected, they will need to set an exception to their appropriate firewalls. Connections are preserved regardless of IP Addresses.

If you are interested in finding a partner to test the online chat with, please visit the help forum where you can can place a request for e-mail addresses. Once e-mail addresses have been shared, the two parties must exchange Messenger-Keys.
